WHO WE ARE
Christian De Schutter the creator of HYPE PARK, began his professional career as a trade journalist, contributing to such trade publications as Screen International and Moving Pictures.
- In 1999, he joined Film Fest Ghent, taking on the role of press and industry executive. There, he was closely involved in the inception of the World Soundtrack Awards and the World Soundtrack Academy (WSA).
- In 2003, he was appointed manager of Flanders Image, the audiovisual export agency dedicated to promoting productions and talent from Flanders and Brussels, Belgium. For over two decades, Christian played a pivotal role supporting promising talents and projects to enable them to achieve international status. He was involved in several Academy Award campaigns, as well as festival strategies at key events such as Berlin, Cannes, Rotterdam, Sundance, Toronto and Venice.

He was also involved with the creation of Location Flanders, the award-winning film commission that would later merge into the Screen Flanders Economic Fund.
In this capacity, he regularly brought together producers and financiers. Additionally, he created CONNEXT, an annual event designed to spotlight new and upcoming Belgian films and TV series for international executives and curators.

Christian is also regularly invited as an expert to markets and festivals.
He is also a member of the European Film Academy (EFA).
NETWORK
